Toolkit: NDC 101

For those of you who are still not sure what NDC is - very simply, it is an acronym for New Distribution Capability. NDC is not a system or a software or a database. It is a proposed standard to exchange information between airlines and sellers (travel agents, for example) and IT Providers who develop systems and software.

Since it's introduction in 2014, many have tried to get their head around what it is and why we need it. Unfortunately, nearly 4 years later, many of us are still scratching our heads trying to figure it out.

Our very own technology guru, Andy Slough, has got it figured. He is the "font of all knowledge" when it comes to NDC and most importantly, he's neutral.

So, if you want to know more - whether you are a travel buyer, TMC, IT company, or even an airline - we have developed this toolkit to simplify the whole subject. This toolkit will take you on the journey of how and when NDC started, and how it has evolved to the present day.
